The Côte d'Azur stretches over the municipalities of Var, Alpes-Maritimes and the Principality of Monaco, while the book by Stephen Liégeard, who gave it its name, extended it to the Riviera dei Fiori, its Italian neighbour.
In the North-West, the Verdon forms a natural border, making it possible to include some neighboring municipalities of the Alpes de Haute Provence.
As for Corsica, it shares the azure sky and the dazzling colors of the Estérel massif from which it broke away some twenty million years ago...
