Mammals

The mammals present on the Côte d'Azur belong to the category of placental mammals, which give birth to their juveniles, unlike marsupials and monotremes i>.

Mammals are warm-blooded animals, which breastfeed their young, as their name suggests.

They are divided into marsupials, whose young develop in the maternal pouch (example of the kangaroo), into monotremes, the only ones to lay eggs ( platypus), and placental, the only category present on the Côte d'Azur.
